17 Jul Chelmsford Dad Waits A Month To Claim £100K National Lottery Win
A father of three from Chelmsford who revealed a £100,000 top prize win on a National Lottery Scratchcard waited more than a month to claim his win believing it must be a mistake.
The lucky dad, Russell Armand (34), bought the winning £100,000 Magenta scratchcard early one June morning when he stopped off for a drink. Getting back into his car, Russell played the scratchcard and revealed the top prize win.
Heading back into the store with the scratchcard he asked the retailer to check, and although he received the magical pink slip confirming a win, and advice to call Camelot, either through shock or disbelief Russell simply put it back in his wallet and that’s where it stayed until more than four weeks later.
Russell’s winning £100,000 Magenta scratchcard from The National Lottery was bought at A1 News & Wine in Ilford. The £100,000 Magenta scratchcard offers a 1 in 4.58 overall chance of winning a prize. The card costs £1 and prizes range from £1 up to the top prize of £100,000.
