As winter approaches and energy bills continue to rise, many UK households could be missing out on vital support designed to make homes warmer and more affordable.
The government’s Warm Home Grant, which includes £55 million allocated to London alone, is part of a national effort to improve home energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. However, much of this funding has yet to reach households as local councils continue to finalise their rollout plans.
Manoj Patel, Founder and Managing Director of Infinity Energy Organisation, commented, “It’s easy to assume that funding delays mean nothing is happening. In reality, the money is there, councils are simply putting the right systems in place to ensure it’s distributed effectively and fairly.”
Infinity Energy Organisation, which has over a decade of experience delivering turn-key sustainable energy solutions to over 29,000 homes across the UK, is encouraging households to prepare now.
Infinity specialises in insulation, solar panels, EV charging, and air source heat pumps, and is planning to work with local authorities to help residents cut energy use and carbon emissions. “These grants can transform homes,” Manoj adds. “They don’t just reduce bills; they make living spaces more comfortable, healthier, and greener.”
Infinity Energy recommends that homeowners and tenants take a few simple steps while awaiting the official rollout of local schemes:
Check your postcode – Visit your local council’s website or the government’s energy grants portal to find out if your area is included in the Warm Home Grant or Warm Homes Local Grant.
Review your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) – Homes rated D or below may be prioritised for funding.
Stay informed – Sign up for your council’s newsletters or energy-efficiency updates to receive application announcements.
Get your documents ready – Have energy bills, proof of address, and income details on hand to apply quickly when schemes open.
Explore other available schemes – The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) may already offer immediate help.
“These schemes represent a real opportunity to lower bills and future-proof homes,” Manoj Patel added. “Many households are eligible without realising it, and a little preparation now can make all the difference when funding becomes available.”
Infinity Energy Organisation provides end-to-end services in insulation, solar energy, EV charging infrastructure, and air source heat pump installation, supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.
