Caremark Chelmsford & Uttlesford has scooped two awards at the Caremark Franchise Awards 2026, winning Medium Franchise of the Year and Care Manager of the Year.
Announced at Caremark’s annual conference, the awards highlight offices delivering outstanding care, strong leadership, and making a meaningful contribution to the wider Caremark network. Out of more than 140 Caremark offices across the UK and Ireland, Chelmsford & Uttlesford stood out for its consistent, high-quality support for customers and families, and the professionalism and dedication of its team.
Medium Franchise of the Year Award
The Franchise of the Year awards – Small, Medium, and Large – are based on company turnover. The Medium Franchise of the Year award is open to offices with an annual turnover of £750,000–£2 million. Tanya and Michael George, Franchise Owners of Caremark Chelmsford & Uttlesford, received the award in recognition of the financial success, strong business strategies, staff retention, workplace culture and positive community impact of their office.
Caremark CEO David Glover praised the office’s growth and community impact:
“Last year, Caremark Chelmsford & Uttlesford won the regional award for Best Franchise in the East of England. This year, they have gone even further, showing what growing excellence looks like. Operating since 2010, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care to families across Chelmsford and Uttlesford.
“In the past year, they achieved a 23.6% increase in turnover, reflecting sustained growth in a competitive market, while continuing to support the local community and meet the needs of those who rely on their services.”
Care Manager of the Year Award
Alice Doherty, who has worked at Caremark since June 2024, was named Care Manager of the Year.
Kirsty Jones, Caremark Director of Training & Compliance, said:
“This award recognises exceptional leadership, dedication to quality care, team development, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
“Alice has exemplified all these qualities and will be formally presented with the award at the Care Managers Conference in March 2026. She, along with all our Care Managers, makes a real difference every day, supporting the highest standards of care and inspiring those around her.”
David Glover added:
“These are fantastic achievements for Caremark Chelmsford & Uttlesford. Tanya and Michael, together with Alice, have built a team that is clearly making a real difference to people’s lives, not only through the quality of care provided, but through the trust they build with families every day.
“With Caremark now delivering around 135,000 hours of care each week across the UK, it’s offices like Chelmsford & Uttlesford that set the benchmark for what outstanding care should look like.”
