25 Nov Businesses connect at Basildon Business Expo 2017
Businesses showcased their work and connected with potential clients and customers at the inaugural Basildon Business Expo 2017.
Basildon Council teamed up with the Essex Chambers of Commerce to organise the free business to business event on Wednesday (22 November). More than 40 exhibitors attended the Expo, which took place at the Wat Tyler Centre in Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea.
Masterclasses ran throughout the day including a Basildon Business Group led session on tackling cybercrime, while the world of innovation was embraced through the delivery of a pop-up FABLAB.
Following the exhibition an Economic Tea Debate took place.
Hosted by Denise Rossiter, Chief Executive at Essex Chambers of Commerce, it enabled businesses to engage with an influential panel on a range of key business issues affecting Basildon and the south Essex economy.
A range of keynote speakers answered questions from the audience including Cllr Linda Allport-Hodge, Chairman of Basildon Council’s Infrastructure, Growth and Development Committee.
