18 Mar Brentwood dance school wins big at Senior Ballet Awards
A Brentwood dance school whose ethos is “provide a nurturing environment for students to learn the disciplines of the Performing Arts” won big at the ISTD Senior Ballet Awards 2017.
The Adagio School of Dance who are based in Hutton this year found success in their second year at the Awards after last year it was reported that 9 of their Juniors went to compete in the highly prestigious competition.
Over 54 schools competed at the ISTD Senior Ballet Awards this year which were held at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley marking the highest entry to date from across the UK and Portugal Italy and Ireland.
The Hutton based school entered 28 pupils and 24 pupils reached the finals after vigorous heats.
A weekend of big wins saw the local school scoop awards in Grades 3,4,5and 6’s and claiming 5 out of the 6 Musicality Cups Won.
The icing on the cake for Adagio was that they were also the recipients of the Dancing Times Teachers Cup for the 8th Consecutive year.
