14 Feb Braintree Village reveals its latest food opening
Bagel fans will be celebrating this week as Bagel Baby opens its doors at Braintree Village, bringing a brand-new food experience to visitors of the outlet shopping village. Brought to the centre from creators of Roo’s Craft Coffee, one of Braintree Village’s popular grab and go options, Bagel Baby offers a delicious range of deli bagels all made to order using fresh ingredients.
Bagel Baby is sure to offer guests plenty of choice for a delicious breakfast or lunch, providing a wide range of bagel options from sesame, and gluten free to raisin and cinnamon. Toasted Breakfast Bagels can be filled with everyone’s favourites from jam and Nutella to the extra special ‘The Goldie’ – peanut butter topped with slices of banana. There’s also a fantastic selection of deli bagels to choose from filled with a range of tasty, healthy options from classics such as smoked salmon and cream cheese to the New Yorker (pastrami, mustard pickles lemon and black pepper), as well as vegetarian and vegan options. A range of snacks and drinks are also available.
Bagel Baby is the latest brainchild from Essex-based food entrepreneurs Becca and Ali, who founded Roo’s Coffee back in 2017. The pair aim to bring ethically driven café options to customers across the county. After opening at Colchester Train station, they expanded to their second location in Braintree Village, which proved so popular the team have now started their new venture, Bagel Baby, which is exclusively available at the outlet village. Roo’s was named after the pair’s first baby boy, so when they welcomed their new baby girl, they knew there was an opportunity for a new business. Becca’s pregnancy cravings led to a love of devouring bagels, meaning they affectionately called this child their bagel baby, and the idea was born!
Ali, Founder of Roo’s Coffee and Bagel Baby, said: “We’ve been serving customers at Braintree Village since late 2018 and have had a great response from across the community. We knew this was the perfect place to introduce Bagel Baby to Essex and hope to welcome lots of you down to try our tasty bagels very soon! This is good food, fast.”
Josef O’Sullivan, Centre Manger at Braintree Village also commented on the new opening: “Grab and go food is such a great option when you’re busy hitting the shops, and we’re so excited to welcome Bagel Baby to the centre and offer our guests another light, healthy and tasty lunch option. We’re delighted to be continuing to support local businesses and entrepreneurship in our food and drink offer and know our visitors will be too!”
Bagel Baby is open Monday – Sunday from 10am-6pm.
