29 Jan Braintree PCSOs help to save a man’s life
Two Braintree and Uttlesford PCSOs have been praised by paramedics after they responded to an abandoned 999 call in Braintree and found a man in his 80s suffering from a potential stroke.
Emergency services received a 999 call on January 27 where a man requested an ambulance and the line cleared immediately after.
PCSOs Dave Endersby (pictured right) and John Thorne (pictured left) responded to the incident and were met with the man that had called alongside his dad who was short of breath and unable to speak.
Fearful that the man had suffered a stroke, the officers immediately requested an ambulance and relayed his condition back to paramedics as they made their way to the scene.
With the ambulance en route, Dave and John reassured the man and made him comfortable.
