by Dan Bryans

Earlier this week, Jamie O’Hara, Paul Konchesky and players from Billericay Town Football Club paid a visit to Buttsbury Junior School in Billericay, Essex.

Joining the BTFC powerhouse was Chairman Dan Groves, Neil ‘Goliath’ Grove, World Mixed Martial Arts Champion, the Club’s inhouse fitness guru and nutritionist, Kevin Head, the Club physio and inhouse Press photographer Nicky Hayes.

This impressive turn-out of 11 took centre-stage and fielded a host of questions from the 480+ audience of very excited children (and teachers!).

Ann Robinson, Buttsbury’s Headteacher said “The children had an amazing time and were in awe at meeting the team members.”

The atmosphere, excitement but most of all, the discipline experienced with 480 young people was very evident around the Billericay school.

Jamie O’Hara told us “the buzz around Billericay is phenomenal and everyone at the club can’t wait for the season to start”

After the Q&A session, the BTFC team split into pairs and visited classrooms, taking time to sign autographs & have photos taken.

11year old fan Denis Morine told us “it was just awesome – my favourite player, Joe Ellul, came to my classroom and spent lots of time with us and signed lots of autographs – it was so cool
