Big Wave PR Shortlisted for 8 CIPR PRide Awards

20 Jul Big Wave PR Shortlisted for 8 CIPR PRide Awards

Colchester-based PR and marketing agency, Big Wave PR, has been shortlisted for eight CIPR Pride Awards (Anglia, Thames and Chilterns). The agency has been given more shortlists for the 2023 awards than any other agency in the region.

Big Wave PR has received nominations for three standout campaigns, which took place during 2022-2023.

Picking up the most shortlists is their campaign for the Essex Year of Reading, which brought Dermot O’Leary back to Colchester to inspire children to get into books. The campaign was also a highlight of the royal visit to Colchester, where Queen Camilla met youngsters, librarians and teachers. Thanks to the Essex Year of Reading, many children’s reading ages have increased.

Big Wave PR has also been shortlisted for their work on the vet’s charity, PDSA’s Order of Merit ceremony, which awarded five working dogs with medals for their outstanding achievements. The ceremony took place in London and the campaign generated over 300 press cuttings and was a lead feature on Sky TV.

The agency has also been working with Visit Essex for over five years and has gained two shortlists for its staycation campaign, attracting visitors back to the county post lockdown. The campaign showcased the county’s 350-mile coastline, top attractions and best stays and included a focus on the food and drink offering within the county.

Founder and Managing Director, Big Wave PR, Hilary Collins, is delighted with the shortlists. She says: “To gain eight shortlists is an absolutely amazing achievement! Our creative team works so hard to deliver the very best results for our clients. It’s wonderful to gain such recognition from the CIPR, our leading trade body, for our professionalism and the results we deliver for our clients.”

The winners of the CIPR Pride Awards will be announced at a gala ceremony at the Clayton Hotel in Cambridge on 28 September.
