09 Aug Beside the Seaside Festival returns to Dovercourt this weekend
There will be fun for all the family at the Beside the Seaside Festival in Dovercourt this weekend.
The event, taking place from 11am-6pm on Sunday 12th of August, has been expanded from last year’s successful festival with additional activities and craft stalls, as well as food and drink vendors.
A live music stage will provide entertainment throughout the day, featuring some of the brightest unsigned talent from across the area – including the Harwich-based Rock School.
Secret Beach Huts will feature a myriad of treasures, from dance workshops, storytelling, art and crafts, and even an Escape Hut.
Alongside these will be other activities, including a treasure hunt, donkey rides, sandcastle and crazy golf competitions, and beach sports from the Tendring District Council (TDC) leisure centres team. In addition there will be an open air screening of Grease at Dovercourt Skate Rink, and quiver windsurfing at the boating lake.
The festival was originally set up by TDC, and is now run by the Harwich Festival on the council’s behalf.
