Bellway donation helps to fund activities at Witham care home

26 Aug Bellway donation helps to fund activities at Witham care home

A care home in Witham will be able to fund additional events and activities for its residents thanks to a donation from Bellway.

The housebuilder, which is building new homes at New Gimson Place, off River View, donated £500 to neighbouring Park View care home, which helps people affected by dementia, Parkinson’s disease and sensory impairment.

One of the ways in which the care home helps the wellbeing of residents is by running a variety of recreational activities which include singing, music and arts and crafts sessions.

Home Manager Erin Ruck said: “We’re so incredibly grateful for this generous donation. We strive to provide outstanding person-centred care to each one of our residents and their individual needs. This donation will be added to our residents fund to host special occasions or outings for everyone to enjoy.”

Bellway Essex is delivering 78 new homes at New Gimson Place, which forms part of its commitment to provide much-needed new housing for Witham, as well as significant investment in local infrastructure and facilities.

Laura Trigg, Sales Manager for Bellway Essex, said: “We were keen to support Park View care home, which lies next to New Gimson Place and helps people who need residential care in and around Witham.

“Their services are simply indispensable to many families in the local community.

“By funding recreational activity sessions, our donation will help the care home in continuing to make a positive difference to the lives of both residents and staff.”
