05 Apr Basildon’s Cineworld welcomes new revolutionary ‘Screen X’ at Festival Leisure Park
Basildon’s Cineworld has welcomed today (5th April) their new revolutionary cinematic experience called ScreenX, creating a 270-degree viewing experience for the audience.
ScreenX is the world’s first multi-projection cinema technology and is exclusive to Cineworld in the UK. The state-of-the-art technology uses up to twelve additional projectors to extend the film out onto the wide of the walls of the screening room.
The innovative technology blends multiple images into one seamless image extending from the central screen, mimicking the human eyes peripheral vision creating a truly atmospheric experience that surrounds viewers in their seat.
The fully immersive screen will also benefit from strategically placed audio systems and speakers, transforming the way customers experience film.
Originally launched in South Korea, Festival Leisure’s Cineworld will be welcoming the new technology on Friday 5th April.
