02 Aug Basildon volunteer to host Fun Day in aid of help for Heroes
A dedicated Help for Heroes volunteer is holding a fun event for all the family this weekend in Witham.
Jules Adcock, from Braintree, has organised the free entrance event for this Saturday at the Western Arms Pub on Western Road in Silver End, (CM8 3SD). Fun activities include a bouncy castle, tombola stalls, a raffle, a drawing competition, cake/sweet stand and a children’s military themed fancy dress competition. A very special Hero Bear will also be making a guest appearance!
Entrance starts at 12pm with the fancy dress competition being judged at 3pm. There will also be a selection of Help for Heroes merchandise available to buy throughout the day.
All monies raised are in aid of Help for Heroes; the military charity very close to Jules’s heart.
She first become involved with Help for Heroes after the death of a close friend who served in the military police. Jules feels that it’s just as important to raise awareness about the charity as it is to raise funds for it.
