A man from near Basildon has scooped up £1,000,000 on Lotto after matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball on Saturday 28 June 2025.
The lucky winner has been a loyal Lotto player for some time, often choosing to play his own set numbers and a Lucky Dip each draw. It was the latter which landed him the life-changing prize, after buying the ticket in-store.
After winning, he immediately bought three bottles of Champagne to celebrate with his loved ones.
Speaking on his win, he said, “I couldn’t believe it. I had to ask my wife to ‘slap my face’ in case I was dreaming. It’s wonderful that we can now help our family.”
