11 Jun Basildon Council will fly the Rainbow Flag to celebrate Essex Pride
Basildon Council will fly the Rainbow Flag to celebrate Essex Pride and show its support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and intersex (LGBTQI+) community.
The flag will be raised by the Mayor of Basildon, Cllr David Dadds, at 11am on Friday 15 June. It will fly over the Basildon Centre until Monday 18 June.
Essex Pride is an event for the whole community, organised to bring people from all walks of life together. It inspires everyone to embrace equality and celebrate diversity. This year’s event will take place in Central Park, Chelmsford, on Saturday 16 June.
