15 Jul Appeal following fatal collision on the A12 in Havering
Detectives are asking for anyone with dash cam footage to come forward following a fatal collision on the A12.
Police were called at 20:55hrs on Sunday, 14 July to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the westbound (London bound) carriageway of the A12.
The collision occurred just after the Brook Street Roundabout (M25) interchange.
It is believed that the pedestrian, a 43-year-old man, stepped in to the carriageway of the A12 and was moving towards the central reservation when he collided with the car.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at 21:29hrs. His next of kin are aware.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 50s, stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
Road closures were put in place.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses or those with dash cam footage to contact them.
