The Covid-10 pandemic has caused demand for care services to soar and it can be a stressful time getting the right support for a loved one or friend.
Age Concern Colchester and North East Essex is launching a new Care Support Service which can provide help in the following four areas:
Home Help – Hourly Paid Care
Securing a helping hand can make all the difference to safely managing the home environment, be that support with shopping, cleaning, cooking or other needs. Caring for the house and its occupant can be offered in a few hours to around the clock support.
Personal Care – Hourly Paid Care
Hourly care, also called domiciliary care, is a visiting service where a carer visits during the day to help with tasks that may have become too difficult to do alone; this could be anything from basic domestic support, companionship, personal care, medication help, through to supporting people with more complex conditions such as dementia or Parkinson’s. The length and frequency of a visit will depend on individual needs. Hourly care is an ideal solution for those who just need a bit of occasional help and not Live-in assistance
24 Hours Live-In-Care
Live-in care is the preferred option in order to remain at home living independently. Live-in care offers 1:1 care all the time; greater than the time available 1-1 in a care home with its multiple occupants. The primary benefit of this is that someone is always available in an emergency, which is reassuring for friends and relatives.
Moving into A Care Home to Live
Support is available to help assess and make the decision to leave the family home, ensuring other care options have been considered first. Our service offers support in finding the ideal home whether a Residential Care Home or a Nursing Home from our list of providers.
