05 Jul @ACLEssex and @gooding_ray are encouraging adult learners to step back into the classroom
This September ACL Essex is encouraging adult learners across Essex to step back in the classroom and join fellow students in studying for GCSEs in English, Maths and Science.
Believed by many employers as crucial to pursuing certain careers, GCSEs in these three particular subjects are ones that are sought out on potential employees’ CV.
Learners wishing to enrol in the GCSE class must first take an initial assessment in order to see if the course is suitable. Assessment sessions are taking place across the county. The English and Maths course could be free to those learners who do not already have a grade A*-C in these subjects.
Councillor Ray Gooding, Cabinet Member for Education and Lifelong Learning said: “Gaining a GCSE in English, Maths or Science could be just what you need to kick start or revitalise your career and help build the economy. Let 2016 be the year you learn something new with ACL.”
