Lucinda Rhodes is a seasoned and established actress turned film producer, rapidly establishing herself as one of the UK’s top female film-makers to watch out for. Lucinda has over 15 years professional industry experience spanning television, film and theatre.
We brought her in for a quick chat about her latest film project – Undercover Hooligan
Q. Do you prefer producing or acting in films?
I still enjoy acting but my love now is definitely producing. I have been acting for 20 years so the enjoyment will always be there but my focus is very much on producing.
Q. If you got the opportunity to produce a remake of a classic film which film would you produce and why?
Wow that is a hard question. There are some great films been made over the years and many I would love to re make. I love prison escape films and war films so I’ll probably go for ‘The Great Escape’ or ‘ Papillon’
Q. Which famous actor/actress would you like to work with in the future?
Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Casey affleck and Keira Knightley to name but a few
Q. How did you find producing Undercover?
Undercover Hooligan was harder to produce that Hooligan Legacy purely because of the amount of cast and location moves we had. The story is great and Nicholas Winter did a great job on it.
Q. What is the next step in your career?
Onwards and upwards for Picture Perfect and collaborating with more great people. We have a slate for 2017 and are now in the process of scheduling what will shoot first.
Q. Did you enjoy producing Undercover?
We had a great team on Undercover Hooligan along with a very strong cast. I enjoyed it very much.
