Tickets for the city’s hugely popular 3foot People Festival go on sale on Wednesday.
More than 15,000 people are expected to flock to Hylands Park on June 28, 29 and 30 for the special event created especially for pre-school children.
Last year, tickets sold out in a matter of days, so people are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets go on sale at 9am at www.chelmsford.gov.uk/3foot but people can also queue in person at the Chelmsford Theatre Box Office in Fairfield Road, Chelmsford, from 10am.
Telephone tickets go on sale a day later at 10am on Thursday, April 21, on 01245 606505, depending on availability.
Historically, the Civic Theatre queues stretched right around the corner, but only three people queued last year as more and more opted to buy tickets online instead.
Tickets cost £11 for adults accompanying a child of two to five-years-old. Children aged one to two cost £5.50 and babies under 12 months cost £2. The event runs from 9.30am until 4pm each day. Car parking costs £2.50 per car and following feedback from last year, the walk from the car park to the main festival arena has been reduced significantly.
