Making the most of their Sunday thousands of people joined Harlow Council on the 5th November 2017 to celebrate Bonfire Night in Harlow Town Park.

Around 22,000 people are estimated to have attended last night’s celebrations making it one of the largest crowds at this event in recent years. It continues to be one of the biggest free admission fireworks display in the East of England.

The annual event has been running for 30 plus years and was organised by Harlow Council with support from Great Parndon Community Association.

Public donations for the Chair of the Council’s chosen charities – St Clare Hospice and Action for Family Carers raised £388 and the Friends of the Leah Manning Centre raised £230.

Councillor Emma Toal, Portfolio Holder for Youth & Community, said: “This annual event continues to be one the biggest and best in the area and something Harlow is very proud of. This year’s event was the Council’s finale to the town’s 70th birthday celebrations and it proved to be a great night.”
