In a US presidential election that has been the most closely contested and most controversial yet the results coming from America at present with 42 states show Republican candidate Donald Trump taking a lead and is looking better on the road to reach the required 270 he requires to win.
Trump won the key battleground states of Florida, Ohio, Iowa & North Carolina and the republican also took Georgia, Utah and Idaho.
Whilst Clinton won Virginia and Colorado.
The French Foreign minister has said that if Trump wins France will continue to work with the U.S
Early poles in remaining states show Trump in the lead as Marine Le Pen has already offered congratulations to ‘new president Trump’
