Mini trampoline marathon raises £50,000 for the NHS

08 May Mini trampoline marathon raises £50,000 for the NHS

((BOUNCE)), the UK’s fastest growing fitness class, has raised more than £50,000 for the NHS in just one day with a mini trampoline marathon.

The mini trampoline fitness company challenged attendees to complete five of its online, ultra-calorie-burning fitness classes in one day. ((BOUNCE)) donated 100% of these class sales to NHS Charities Together, and participants could be sponsored via Just Giving to raise additional funds.

Thousands of people across the UK took part in the challenge and raised £50,298 for the NHS. This was more than 2000% of – or twenty times – the company’s target for the day.

((B)) @ HOME, the company’s online fitness classes, launched within a week of the temporary closure of its 340 worldwide studios in March. Each class is £4.95 and all class fees are split between UK franchisees to support the self-employed local instructors during the lockdown. 100% of class fees from Saturday 1st May were donated to NHS Charities Together.

The classes are unique in offering a high intensity, low impact workout from the comfort of your home. They are 45 minutes in length and burn a massive 500+ calories. The trampoline mat absorbs 87% of the impact, making it a comfortable workout for all ages and abilities.

((BOUNCE)) was founded in 2014 by Kimberlee Perry in Harlow, Essex. She started with just £200, which she used to purchase eight second-hand mini trampolines. She has since grown the business to encompass 320 UK studios with a further 20 in Australia and New Zealand, and has trained more than 700 instructors. More than 47,000 attendees ((BOUNCE)) each month in the UK.

Kimberlee Perry, CEO and founder of ((BOUNCE)), says: “At this time of crisis, it’s more important than ever to give our support and thanks to the NHS, its staff and volunteers for the amazing work they are doing to keep the public safe.

“Many of our ((BOUNCE)) Army work on the frontline themselves – as health workers, police officers, food and supermarket workers and other vital roles – and we’d like to show our gratitude and appreciation for their efforts in keeping the nation running.

“When I launched the business, I set out to create an empowering and supportive fitness environment. So it’s in the very ethos of ((BOUNCE)) to rally behind our own and raise money for such an important cause.

“We are blown away by the phenomenal amount raised by our ((BOUNCE)) Army in just one day and would like to thank participants, their family and friends for the generosity. To those on the frontline, we salute you.”
