Multiplatinum, chart-topping Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix has teamed up with Ed Sheeran to release “Repeat It (Acoustic Version)” via STMPD RCRDS – listen HERE. This stripped back version gives a new feeling to the previously released single.
The accompanying acoustic music video was shot in Santiago, Chile where Sheeran also performed with Garrix during his Americas Tour stop. Watch the music video HERE and the live set HERE.
“Repeat It” was first released last month as a special birthday release for Garrix, following strong demand from fans. Originally started over a decade ago, the pair recently reunited in the studio to finish the dance-pop crossover. Blending Sheeran’s signature vocal style with Garrix’s polished production, “Repeat It” fuses electronic dance music with guitar-driven and orchestral textures.
Over the past month, Martin has been playing venues on his largest and most ambitious North & South American headline tour to date, the Martin Garrix Americas Tour. He recently wrapped three nights at Barclays Center in Brooklyn where Ed Sheeran popped out as a surprise guest to perform “Repeat It” Live. Garrix also recently brought 130,000 fans from all over the world to his set at Veracruz, Mexico’s Puerto Sonoro Festival – see HERE from his Instagram
