SPECSAVERS Hertford is inviting residents to celebrate the official launch of its new audiology hub, following an expansion of the store’s hearing care facilities and services.
The locally owned and run Specsavers store now offers a range of dedicated audiology services, including hearing checks, professional ear wax removal and the latest in hearing device technology.
The launch celebrations will take place on November 21 from 10am to 3pm, with cakes from Hertford Cake Company, a balloon arch and an appearance by Specsavers’ giant ear mascot. Visitors on the day will also be able to meet the hearing experts and access walk-in hearing screenings and earwax checks.
The hearing team began welcoming customers last month, following a substantial store refurbishment. Led by HCPC-registered audiologist Leanne Clark, who brings 10 years of experience and a passion for delivering patient-centred care, it features an expanded hearing check room, a soundproof booth and updated testing equipment.
The additional facilities and staffing mean the team can offer more hearing clinics, including Saturday appointments. Hearing checks and earwax removal appointments can be booked online, with earwax removal available for £55.
Oliver Littlefair, director at Specsavers Hertford, says: ‘We’re delighted to be celebrating the new audiology hub and to invite the local community in to see the facilities and meet the team.
‘I’ve worked in audiology for 10 years and with Specsavers for 17 years, and this is the second audiology hub I’ve helped open. It’s rewarding to see the investment we’re making in hearing care locally. Whether people have questions about their hearing or simply want to join the celebrations, we’d love to welcome them.’
Leanne Clark, audiologist at Specsavers Hertford, adds: ‘Changes in hearing can develop gradually, so it’s important that people feel comfortable seeking advice when they notice something different.
‘The refurbished space, including the soundproof booth and updated equipment, allows us to provide more appointments and a wider choice of services. Saturday clinics also make it easier for people to fit hearing care around work and family commitments.’
Visitors can speak to the team during the launch event, while anyone wanting a full hearing assessment or earwax removal treatment should book an appointment through the store: www.specsavers.co.uk/stores/hertford.
