Essex based bridal shop hosting fundraiser in aide of Help for Heroes

19 Sep Essex based bridal shop hosting fundraiser in aide of Help for Heroes

Essex based bridal shop ‘Abigail’s Collection & The Groom’s Room’ are hosting their third innovative and exciting wedding themed charity fundraiser designed to persuade Brides back into their most prized purchase; their wedding dress.

Jointly hosted by Prested Hall in Feering, Colchester, the ‘Wear your Wedding Dress Again Charity Party’ on Sunday 12th November 2017 is in aid of Help for Heroes (H4H).

Abi Neill, Business Owner of the multi award winning bridal business in Colchester, explains why they chose such an event:

“Brides constantly tell us that they would love to wear their wedding dresses again. Over the years I can honestly say I’ve heard it virtually weekly! This party is all about raising vital funds for the Charity but it’s also the best excuse to dust off our dresses, pop back on our tiaras and get together for a really fabulous wedding dress party.”

She added “Prested Hall is the perfect setting as many of our Brides get married there and they are amazing joint hosts. We ran the event in 2013 and 2015; last time out presenting the H4H Recovery Centre in Colchester with a cheque for £4,000. This year we hope to raise even more”.

The Recovery Centre is named after one of three people to be awarded the Victoria Cross twice.

Chavasse VC House has an adaptive gym, an award winning reflective garden (Hope on the Horizon), a Support Hub made up of multiple charities, a psychological well-being suite, en-suite bedrooms, family rooms and a creative studio. It has been specially designed to offer the very best recovery environment in order to inspire, enable and support those who are wounded, injured or sick while serving our country. The centre and its staff encourages them to lead active, independent and fulfilling lives while also supporting their loved ones.

Tickets are priced at £40 and are available from Abigail’s Collection on 01206 574575 from Tuesday 19th September. For more info contact www.abigailscollection.co.uk
