Anglia Ruskin University shortlisted for National Business Award

01 Aug Anglia Ruskin University shortlisted for National Business Award

Anglia Ruskin University has been nominated for a prestigious national award for its entrepreneurial approach.

Described by former Prime Minister David Cameron as “the Oscars of Great British Business”, the 2016 Lloyds Bank National Business Awards will be held in November at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, and Anglia Ruskin has been shortlisted for the Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship.

Finalists were chosen from the hundreds of businesses that entered or were nominated across 18 award categories. They will now prepare for live presentations to an expert judging panel who will decide the overall winners.

Professor Gary Packham, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Lord Ashcroft International Business School at Anglia Ruskin University, said:

“We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award which distinguishes the work we do in partnership with the communities we serve in enabling and facilitating social and economic development through creativity and innovation.

“The award also acts as further recognition of our continuing commitment to developing future leaders and enterprising graduates who can make a real and meaningful contribution to business and society.”

In 2014, Anglia Ruskin University was named the Entrepreneurial University of the Year by the Times Higher Education magazine.
